Bobszy - I would imagine part of the problem with firearms are you have a considerable variety. How many versions of the .45 handgun are there? *shrugs*

Bobzy> Draw a circle.. congratulations, that's also a sphere..
Now draw a square, then, making sure to follow a vanishing point draw two more squares that share at least on lines of that original square. Make sure to hold parallel faces parallel except when obeying the vanishing point. Make sure not to extent the free sides too long. Congrats, you may have just drawn a cube.
In a nutshell, that's why

I guess, I'm no artist. Seems so strange how the anatomy seems easy to most artist, but one gun. HARD for them.

Bobszy> Not really surprising. Solid tech, cars, guns etc.. have very exact proportions and angles or else they look wrong. Rounder softer shapes of people and characters can be fudged just a little bit and still look acceptable.

although I crack up with how tech, tools, guns, etc, is hard to dra, but artists draw human/anthro so well.
Yes, girls in leather a good thing. XD

And steampunk is just very accessable. Many joke about how easy it is to just stick gears on stuff and make up a story. But that's the point. Low barrier to entry, and tons of great examples of people taking the crafting aspect to much higher levels.
Also, cute girls in corsets and leather
